2007 RECAP LOCATED HERE!
It's that time of year again when we're busy preparing feasts for Diwali, Thanksgiving, Eid al Adha, Hannukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas and New Years Eve.
Last year I hosted the Festive Food Fair in honour of all this special occassion food and we had 67 entries!
I'd like to invite everyone to join me again in 2007 and share your feasting recipes.
What will you serve? What can you recommend? Does it have to be traditional for you or are you after new dishes to try? Are you curious about what other people eat?
Here is our opportunity to share our special moments with others and learn about food from around the globe. And who knows, maybe your dish will be enjoyed by a family on the other side of the world!
What to do?
Any time from now until Sun 9 Dec, blog about any festive or “special occasion food”. This can include drinks, appetisers, entrees, mains, salads, desserts etc. If it’s special to your family or culture, it’s special to us too!
Make sure you mention your post is part of the Festive Food Fair and include a link back to this post so others can find the recap.
Before midnight Sunday 9 December, email to morselsandmusingsATyahooDOTcomDOTau your:
- permalink
- name
- blog name
- recipe name
- recipe type (drink, salad, dessert etc)
- city, state, country
- a photo of your food, if you'd like to include one
- entries cannot be used for multiple events, other than photo events
If you'd like to tag your post for Technorati use: festive food fair
You can submit multiple recipes but please don't enter your recipes in multiple events. Tongue twister? Posts should be original entries for the Festive Food Fair, but you can submit as many recipes as you want!
In the week 10-14 Dec, I will compile all the recipes into a recap and then we can all sit back and enjoy the Festive Food Fair.

ReplyDeleteOne of my good friends doesn't celebrate any of the winter-time religious holidays, so a few years ago, she created her own winter festival and called it The Winter Festival of Pie. I'll be submitting a pie recipe. =D
